Calcium Carbonate

Calcium carbonate is also called limestone powder. the main classifications include heavy calcium carbonate, light calcium carbonate, and nano calcium carbonate.  

Light calcium carbonate (precipitated calcium carbonate), also known as light calcium, is calcined limestone as raw materials to produce lime (calcium oxide) and carbon dioxide and then digested into the water to produce lime milk (calcium hydroxide), and then carbon dioxide to produce calcium carbonate precipitation, and finally obtained by dehydration, drying and crushing. 

Heavy calcium carbonate, referred to as heavy calcium, is a mechanical method of natural calcium carbonate minerals, such as calcite, limestone, chalk, shells, etc., by CLUM ultrafine vertical grinding machine and HGM ultrafine ring roller grinding machine processing to the appropriate size of the product

Nano-calcium carbonate, referred to as nano calcium,  is the calcination of selected limestone by carbonization, to obtain the calcium oxide. the calcium hydroxide generated by digestion is crushed under high shear to remove impurities, and carbon dioxide is passed into the calcium carbonate slurry, which is prepared by dehydration, drying, and surface treatment.

Application:  

Heavy calcium carbonate products: mainly used in paper, rubber, and plastics industries, the filling amount is generally large, mainly as a volume filler, reducing the manufacturing cost of application products;

Light calcium carbonate products: relatively wide range of applications, the main application areas for plastics, rubber, coatings, adhesives, cigarette paper, ink, etc., based on volume filling,

Nano-calcium carbonate products are often used as functional fillers such as modification or reinforcement in the application process.
