Mica
Mica is a silicate mineral which is common in igneouse and metamorphic ricks. Its individual mica crystals can split into thin plates. Micas are used in products such as drywalls, paints, fillers, especially in parts for automobiles, roofing and shingles, as well as in electronics. It can also be used as insulation material. The mineral is used in cosmetics to add “shimmer” or “frost.”

Mica is a naturally occurring stone mineral with gleaming flakes, the main classifications include dry mica, wet mica, phlogopite mica and synthetic mica.
Dry mica, also known as decorative mica, is a white or off-white shiny powder, mainly composed of silicates and aluminates, with good chemical stability and electrical insulation properties. Dry mica is able to resist high temperature, oxidation, corrosion and abrasion under high temperature.
Wet mica powder is a kind of high-quality functional mineral filler made from natural and high-quality large-scale mica raw materials by removing impurities, soaking, washing, high-pressure crushing, low-temperature drying and fine powder, and its unique production process makes the product retain the flake structure of mica to the maximum extent; large diameter-to-thickness ratio, high purity, high whiteness, high luster, and the amount of iron in the combined sand is low, and other industrial characteristics.
Phlogopite is a common member of the mica mineral group. Crystals of phlogopite are often brown, but can be yellow, green or reddish brown. It is sometimes called "the brown mica". Phlogopite can split into very thin sheets, the sheets are transparent, lustrous, chemically inert, tough, elastic, flexible, and insulating. These and other properties of phlogopite enable it to be used to manufacture a variety of products.
Synthetic mica, also known as fluorophlogopite. It is made from chemical raw materials through high-temperature melting, cooling, and crystallization. Many of its properties are superior to natural mica, such as high temperature resistance, good electrical insulation, extremely low vacuum gas release at high temperatures, as well as acid and alkali resistance, transparency, separability, and elasticity.

Applications
1.Dry mica products: commonly used in speciality coatings, such as high temperature coatings, marine coatings, automotive coatings and so on. In various coatings, dry mica powder can enhance the gloss and colour of the coating, improve the hardness, adhesion and wear resistance of the coating, and also improve the corrosion resistance and anti-corrosion of the coating.
2.Wet mica products: commonly used in anticorrosive coatings, such as anticorrosive primer, anticorrosive topcoat, etc., which has excellent antirust effect. At the same time, wet mica powder can also be used in architectural coatings, such as indoor and outdoor wall coatings, metal coatings, cement floor coatings and so on. Wet mica powder can improve the stability, adhesion and water resistance of the coating, as well as improve the gloss, flatness and aesthetics of the coating.
3.Phlogopite products: relatively wide range of applications, the main application areas for is used in a variety of industries, including decorating, paint and coating, pigment, automotive, engineering products, cosmetics, and oil drilling.It is a good industrial insulating material due to its strong thermal resistance.
4.Synthetic mica products: has good electrical insulation, extremely low vacuum deflation at high temperatures, as well as acid, hyaline, separability, and elasticity. It is an important non-metallic insulation material for modern industries and high-tech industries such as motors, electrical appliances, electronics, and aviation.
